On October 15th, one of the Texas Youth Commission’s juvenile detention center’s football team, the Giddings Indians, will be playing in Hyde Park (Austin) on October 15th. These young people need fans to root for them, as many of their own friends and family live in other parts of the state and won’t be able to attend. Youth have to earn the privilege of playing on the team. Sports are a great way to focus energy, learn discipline and teamwork, and form a sense of camraderie. Let’s all go out and cheer for these young people!
