I am Stephanie’s first cousin. Although I live in NC, I grew up knowing and loving Stephanie, and had the opportunity to spend precious time with her over the past couple of years. She was a real, loving, caring, well-educated woman who, unfortunately, had demons that were stronger than herself. I appreciate your article and want you to know that despite the battle she was fighting within herself, she has a very loving, caring family who will miss her and her bautiful smile and spirit emmensely. Thank you for the article and for helping other women who find themselves in circumstances beyond their control. But for the grace of God it could be any one of us and it would serve most people well to remember that.

It is so refreshing to come across people such as yourself and your husband. It shows a clear picture of how people should be viewed….as people. Some have different needs and issues, but makes them no less worthy of life and no one should have to be judged by other mortal humans. When I saw your husbands article last night, it touched my heart because I knew it would make a difference to my aunt, uncle and cousin who are suffering the biggest loss right now. I was going to forward the article to them, but it turns out her brother found it on his own! Thank you, again, for being a voice for the unheard. Your work is remarkable and it takes a very special person to do what you do! I’m sure you feel a great loss when you hear of someone you have helped has passed away. So, with that being said, my condolences to you, as well. Keep up the good work because you do make a difference!

I am Ms. C! I remember this class! It was awesome and it was fabulous to be led into an entirely different creative flow. Writing a story with no ideas on where it will end up! It woke me up to new possibilities and got my juices flowing~!
